Jonathan A. Kase, MD

“I always enjoyed learning about science and medicine while growing up, so it was only natural that I chose to become a doctor. I wanted to be able to help people of all ages get out of pain and back to their normal, active lives, and this is what led me to the field of orthopaedic surgery. When I made the decision to specialize in this field, I also made the commitment to complete advanced training and education in order to provide my patients with the most effective care possible. After earning my medical degree, I went on to complete residency training in orthopaedic surgery followed by subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.
“One of my mentors taught me to ‘do what is best for the patient,’ and I practice this philosophy every day. I provide my patients with the focused, unhurried care they deserve. I’ll spend the time necessary listening to their concerns and answering their questions. Plus, I will explain any recommended treatment and how it can improve their condition in simple, easy-to-understand language. I find that preparing patients and educating them about their condition makes a positive impact on their recovery.”

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Kase spends time with his wife and their children. He stays active by playing basketball, skiing and exercising. Dr. Kase helps athletes at the College of Wooster and at Orrville High School. His hobbies include reading books and watching movies.
