Michael S. Knapic, DO

Specialty Focus: General Orthopaedics, Spine Disorders, Adult Reconstruction, Sports Medicine

Michael S. Knapic, DO“My decision to pursue a career in healthcare was influenced by my father, who was a physician. He impressed me with his skills and patient care, and I wanted to follow in his footsteps. As a college athlete, I saw many athletes suffer a variety of sports-related injuries and benefit from orthopaedic care, and this was very interesting to me — so much that I wanted to make it my career. I eventually earned my medical degree and completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery. I really enjoy my job because it gives me the opportunity to interact with patients, diagnose their condition and provide them with surgical solutions that can eliminate their pain or dysfunction. Ultimately, this can improve their overall quality of life.

“Partnership and understanding are key areas of my practice philosophy. When patients come in and they are unable to perform everyday activities or the sport they love, I understand how they feel. I focus on their goals and expectations and spend a great deal of time explaining their condition and their treatment options so they are fully informed.”
