Corey A. Jackson, DO

Dr. Corey Jackson - Wooster Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center - Orthopedic Surgeon - Orthopedic Doctor - Physical therapy

Specializing in General Orthopaedics, Adult Reconstruction, Sports Medicine & Fracture Care

“The dream to become a physician was made many years ago when I was a young, uncoordinated basketball player and suffered a severe fracture to my wrist. This injury propelled me down the path to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon. I wanted to be the person treating these types of injuries.

As a stepping stone, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy. I quickly realized that I wanted to have a larger, more direct impact on patient care. I eventually earned a medical degree and finished specialized training in orthopedic surgery. My education as a physical therapist has given me an appreciation and understanding of the importance of rehabilitation in the process of healing and recovery.

I truly enjoy my career. I have interest and experience in a multitude of orthopedic issues in patients of all ages. Each day I encounter new patients and new challenges. There is nothing more satisfying than to see a patient walk out of my office after undergoing surgery when they required a wheelchair at the initial meeting.

I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is a partnership built on mutual trust and respect. My role is to provide information and education regarding each patient's individual problem, both surgical and non-surgical. I enjoy building a relationship with my patients and working together to make a difference in the quality of their lives.

I look forward to making Wayne County a permanent residence for my family while making new friends and gaining the confidence of the community.”
